Quiescent Endeavors
For the duration of ten days, I fasted. In doing so, I was able to utilize this emptiness as a means for meditation, engaging myself in the repetitive process of hand-pinching each porcelain leaf. Suggesting a silent and still visual found in nature, I more closely examined the beauty and inspiration that I find in silence, stillness and meditation.
Quiescent Endeavors received an 'Honorable Mention' in the 2009 World Ceramics Biennale in South Korea.
